Disney and other media companies have launched streaming services to make up for the lost cable viewers, but it appears YouTube is beating all of them. The video reveals the biggest children’s program on the Internet by far is “Cocomelon” by the YouTube channel Moonbug. YouTube is free to watch and available on all smart tv’s and streaming devices. Cocomelon is dominating in households with small children, although older kids prefer YouTube as well, watching slightly edgier channels.

This is a great sign for the future of YouTube, unless corporate media sabotages it. Independent YouTube creators have been hit by multiple “Ad-pocalypses” in which advertising revenue is denied to them. YouTube makes its money through advertising, and establishment corporations are the biggest spenders. It’s in YouTube’s interest to cater to those organizations unless it can devise other monetization methods. Independent channels have gotten creative and accept donations through Patreon and Subscribestar, or sell merchandise like t-shirts and hoodies.

The November 2020 presidential election is still contested. Citizens have recorded and personally witnessed election fraud, but the corporate media and Big Tech, including YouTube, are suppressing the evidence. Alternative platforms like Rumble, DLive, Odysee, and Bitchute are seeing huge growth because they allow free discussion of the topics. In any case, audiences, especially the younger generations, don’t see the appeal in network television. The old guard will resist it, but we’re moving toward a future of independent citizen media creation.
